“Definitely a different project. It won't be anything out of the ordinary from Toosii,” the 24-year-old said of the new set while playing with the Detroit Lions. “This is certainly outside of what they would ask for. We're taking a risk with this project.”
He continued: “This project is much bigger than anything I've ever done. Great music is great music. If people appreciate great music, they will appreciate this project.”
Toosii hopes fans will feel “excited, happy and proud” when they push to play what he believes is the best album he's made in his career so far.
Jaded arrived via South Coast Music Group/Capitol Records on October 4 with features from Gunna, Muni Long and Kehlani. The 13-track LP debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard 200.
Toosii will hit the road this weekend alongside Moneybagg Yo as the support act on Rod Wave's Final Lap tour, which kicks off in Phoenix on Saturday (October 19). After a trip through the desert, they will make stops in Oakland, Sacramento, Houston, Dallas, Memphis, Lexington, Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn, Boston, Baltimore, Philly, Nashville and Orlando, before finishing in Ft. Lauderdale on December 18.
Toosii will once again host meet and greets on the road. Some of the photos from previous runs went viral with Chris Brown excessive fan requests.
“They're crazy,” he said. “They're trying to flash the camera. Some crazy things happen. We have to tell them [chill out] little. You always have to do the meet and greets.”
