It's been over three years since the tragic death of electronic music powerhouse SOPHIE. Her estate has now revealed the track listing for her self-titled posthumous album in celebration of what would have been her 38th birthday.
SOFIAThe album, which was first announced in June, features collaborations with artists such as Kim Petras, Nina Kraviz, Bibi Bourelly and his ex-girlfriend Evita Manji. The album is set for release on September 27 via Transgressive Records and Future Classic.
At the time of her devastating passing in 2021, the album would have been nearly complete. The Grammy-nominated producer died at age 34 after an accidental fall from a three-story building in Athens.
“Sophie did not usually speak publicly about her private life, preferring to put everything she wanted to articulate into her music,” reads a statement From Transgressive Records. “It's only right to share with the world the music I was hoping to release, with the belief that we can all connect with it in this format, the one I loved the most.”
