Ed Kelce is a dedicated Swiftie.
Travis Kelce's father took to Facebook on Thursday (August 8) to post one Daily Mail article highlighting a verse for Ye's highly anticipated and highly anticipated Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign. Ye featured a lyrical reference to Taylor Swift's romance with the Kansas City Chiefs. “I twist my spliffs tight on Taylor's end like Travis Kelce,” Lil Wayne raps on the track “Lifestyle (Demo).”
“Mental illness on full display,” Ed wrote in response. See the post here.
While the verse is tame enough, it's an added layer to the years of bad blood between Swift and Ye, which began with West interrupting Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. It's also not the first time which Ye mentions Swift in his lyrics, as the infamous track “Famous” had the line: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that b—- famous.”
Swift has yet to respond to the verse herself. The singer's Eras tour stops in Vienna, Austria, were canceled earlier this week after a terrifying threat of violence. Associated Press reported that the prime suspect in the case, a 19-year-old man, confessed to planning to “kill as many people as possible” outside the Ernst Happel Stadium, where Swift was scheduled to perform from August 8 to 10.
The superstar, who kicked off the European leg of her record-breaking Eras tour in May, will stop at London's Wembley Stadium before returning to the United States and Canada for one final leg before wrapping up the Eras tour in December.
