Travis Scott wants to turn his fees into cash. The Cactus Jack boss — born Jacques Webster — was arrested early Thursday (June 20) on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.
Scott posted bond hours later and has already released merchandise capitalizing on the Miami Beach arrest.
La Flame released a t-shirt commemorating his arrest with a graphic depicting an edited photo of his mug taken on the t-shirt. The 'Butterfly Effect' rapper is selling the shirt his website for a limited time with a retail price of $35.
It's a simple dark brown Cactus Jack t-shirt with a small image of the mug, which has been edited to give Scott his signature smile compared to the original blank stare at the camera. “It's Miami” is written below the image to sum up Trav's reaction to the police interaction.
“The defendant later admitted to drinking alcohol and stated, 'It's Miami,'” according to the arrest affidavit obtained Advertising sign.
The “Free the Rage #2” t-shirt highlighting Scott's mug shot will ship in a week, and a portion of the proceeds from sales of the shirt will go to the Cactus Jack Foundation.
This is not the first time that Travis Scott has attempted to exploit an arrest. He previously sold a white T-shirt for 24 hours featuring the mug shot from his 2017 arrest in Arkansas, where he was charged with inciting a riot at his concert. He ended up pleading guilty to misconduct in 2018.
As for his most recent brush with the law, Scott was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail after being arrested at 1:17 a.m. in Miami Beach early Thursday. He faces charges of trespassing along with disorderly intoxication.
A source familiar with the situation says Advertising sign that Scott is already home after the bond was posted and there was no physical altercation at what was described as a party.
Scott, 33, posted his mug shot in one Instagram Stories post where she added a pair of white headphones and brown shades to the photo.
