Tune-Yards Announce Nikki Nack 10th Anniversary Reissue, Share Water From Your Eyes Remix: Listen

Tune-Yards, the art-rock band fronted by singer and guitarist Merrill Garbus, is reissuing their album Nikki Nak to celebrate her 10th anniversary. The deluxe edition includes four new tracks and will be released on streaming services on August 9. One of these songs is a deconstructed remix of “Water Fountain” by Water From Your Eyes, which they have retitled “Water from your fountain.” Listen to it below.

In addition to the digital reissue, Tune-Yards announced Behind the Behind the albuma 28-page magazine about its creation Nikki Nak. Designed by Molly Styslinger and Garbus, it features behind-the-scenes photos, scans of Garbus' lyric journals, handwritten anecdotes, and more. Behind the Behind the album available through 4 AD.

Tune-Yards' latest studio album, Incompletewas released in March 2021. They have written some other songs since then, including an original soundtrack for the Boots Riley series I am a virgin; which marked their second collaboration, following Tune-Yards' score for his first feature film, 2018 Sorry to bother.
