Tyler Childers has scored a headlining spot, along with Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and Eric Church, for the inaugural Country Calling festival, which takes place October 4th and 5th in Ocean City, Maryland.
The two-day event features a line-up that cuts a wide spectrum across the country's landscape. There will be sets from legends such as Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride, Tanya Tucker and Clint Black, as well as other modern favorites such as the aforementioned headliners, as well as Bailey Zimmerman, Brothers Osborne and Ingrid Andress. Even a few left-field choices made the cut, like outlaw torchbearer Nikki Lane and thrillingly weird alt-country singer-songwriter Paul Cauthen.
Country Calling will be held on the Ocean City Boardwalk at Ocean City Inlet Beach. tickets will be released on sale this Friday, March 22, starting with a 10 a.m. presale. ET and general sale at 11 a.m. ET.
For Childers, the Ocean Calling set will come at the end of a very busy schedule, which finds him playing some of the biggest shows of his career so far, as he continues to support his 2023 album. Rustin' in the Rain. He will begin his next round of dates on April 5 in San Diego, with gigs at arenas, auditoriums and other festivals scheduled through early fall.
Country Calling's other titles also have busy summers ahead. Jelly Roll will be playing several of his own shows, while also supporting Morgan Wallen on his One Night at a Time tour. Wilson — fresh off a Grammy win for Best Country album Bell Bottom Country — has dates scheduled in Australia, the UK, Europe and North America through the fall; and while Church has some scattered shows, he'll be largely occupied playing a residency at his new Nashville bar.
