Tyler, the Creator's new era is already off to a strong start as the rapper's “Noid” is taking off by storm Bulletin boardHot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated Nov. 2) at No. 9, despite partial availability for the chart's tracking week. The song was released on Monday, October 21, allowing approximately four days of eligibility for the chart's final streaming, sales and airplay cycle, which ran from October 18 to 24.
For its tracking week, “Noid,” released on Columbia Records, logged 10.5 million official streams in the U.S., according to Luminate, sparking its No. 6 debut on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart. Streaming powers nearly all of the song's activity for its debut on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, with negligible download sales and minimal radio airplay.
“Noid” adds a fourth top 10 to Tyler, The Creator's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs account. He previously reached the territory with 2019's No. 5 “Earfquake,” a No. 6 hit in 2021's “Wusyaname,” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla $ign, and earned a No. 5 best again when and on 21 Savage appeared on Pharrell Williams' “Cash In Cash Out” in 2022.
Elsewhere, “Noid” debuts at No. 6 on the Hot Rap Songs chart and No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre.
“Noid” appears on Tyler the Creator's new album, Chromaticity. Like his first offering, the album arrived off-cycle, reaching consumers on Monday, October 28, and thus will compete with a shortened window for Bulletin boardalbum chart for the tracking week of October 25 – 31. Chromaticity is the artist's first work since 2021 Call me if you get lostwhich became his second consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and his fifth career leader on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
