Miami's iconic Ultra is proof that music festivals do much more than provide entertainment for fans.
As Ultra Music Festival approaches its 25th anniversary in 2025, the event remains a pillar of Miami's economy and provides an annual economic boon rivaled by few.
The city's mayor, Francis Suárez, stated that during Ultra's 24-year tenure, the festival has generated more than $1 billion in revenue for the city. That includes the impact on nearby restaurants, boutiques and other retail and service industry businesses.
“For a festival, it's been here for almost a quarter of a century and has produced more than a billion dollars in economic activity,” Suarez said. 7 News Miamiadding that Ultra is a “global event.”
Ultra returns this weekend March 22-24. With a host of electronic dance music superstars coming to town to perform, as well as festival-goers from around the world, it's once again set to be a huge year financially.
