For those holding out hope that Usher will finally drop his track “Believe” that's been floating around the internet for years, good news awaits: Jermaine Dupri, one of the song's writers, confirmed via X on Thursday (February 22) that the song will finally arrive on Friday.
Usher's reps confirmed Advertising sign that “Believe” and “Naked” will be part of it Coming Home (Expanded Edition)a reissue of Usher's ninth studio album, which originally arrived on February 9 before the Super Bowl halftime.
“You!!! To everyone commenting on this post, to everyone who messaged me about this song, just told me it will be available on Friday, 'BELIEVE' this Friday!!” Dupri wrote while sharing one Shadow room Instagram post about fans being disappointed that “Believe” wasn't originally included in the original I'm coming home release.
The post also included an IG Live clip of Usher and Dupri previewing the uptempo breakup track in 2019, which Dupri also shared on his Facebook page.
“Believe” was also one of the songs previewed by Usher's team Advertising sign for his 2021 cover, along with 'Fresh Air' and 'Kissing Strangers', but the latter record is the only one to make the cut I'm coming home when it arrived on February 9 via mega/gamma. The set debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, as well as on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and topped the Top Albums Sales chart this week (ends Feb. 24).
Dupri joined Usher on the 2024 Super Bowl halftime stage to perform “Confessions, Pt. II” as part of the R&B superstar's hit performance earlier this month at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
