Over the last year or so the popularity of retro Air Jordan sneakers has declined thanks to over saturation and just plain horrible colorways of the popular silhouettes. But at the same time demand for the Nike Kobe sneaker line has skyrocketed and heads are hungry for more versions of the new classics.
Over the past few days Vanessa Bryant had Kobe fans buzzing on social media as she debuted some new colorways of the Nike Kobe 8 made just for her and her family, including some Valentine's Day specials and an exclusive leopard print . While fans are divided on the colorways of the rare Kobe 8 pairs, with some loving them and others shaking their heads, it's not like anyone will get a chance to snag these exclusives, as there are no plans for any of these Kobe iterations. 8 to hit the shelves at all.
But don't worry Kobe fanatics because there are a few Kobe 8's releasing later this year, including the Kobe 8 “Court Purple” which will be a must have for any die-hard Lakers fan and the Kobe 8 “Mambacita” which has a butterfly pattern all over the sneaker. There's even talk of a Kobe and Nike SB collaboration that's supposed to drop later this year.
