DJ Vlad He has long been regarded as an unsavory genre among certain Hip-Hop circles, despite his uncanny ability to interview notable figures in the genre. After he assaulted a black woman who checked him on his opinion of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, DJ Vlad tried to weaponize his whiteness, but the culture saw the game and it's taking Vlad The Vulture out of color.
Best-selling author and academic Morgan Jerkins caught DJ Vlad talking over Kendrick Lamar's explosive track 'Not Like Us', stating that the song 'needed a better mix'.
Jerkins, citing Vlad's comment, rightly wrote: “You are WHITE. This is a BLACK PEOPLE'S AFFAIR,” prompting Vlad to respond and spiral like most Karens do.
“Wait, so a professor at @Princeton is telling me that a white person shouldn't be allowed to express their opinion about Hip-Hop? That's how you interact with your students,” Vlad replied.
Jerkins responded: “What I'm saying is you're putting your opinion into a conversation that doesn't need to be. This conversation is and should be about black people, not you.”
Vlad then made the ultimate move and threatened to contact Princeton University over Jerkins' comments, but found himself on the wrong side of history again after Jerkins laid down the law.
“The semester is over and my contract is up. But thank you for trying to bully me out of work to galvanize black people for hurting your feelings. Pretty vindictive, huh? Nice tactic,” Jerkins countered artfully.
Not being shy, Vlad tried to throw out his academic credentials and referred to Jerkins as a bigot. She then foolishly demanded that Jerkins take Princeton off her X resume. This is when it gets even better.
“Honey, before I became a professor at Princeton, I GRADUATED from Princeton. LOL So what are you really saying,” Jerkins added.
Vlad, unable to get the L for that doubled over and the entire Black Xitter (yes, we call it that) formed like the Avengers to chase Vlad The Vulture off the paint. Even normally neutral people like comedian KevOnStage were smoking in the Vlad Pack, and it's still going on since the fights started late Saturday night (May 4).
DJ Vlad made a career out of inviting pivotal figures in Hip-Hop culture to spill the beans about things that were both incriminating and largely damaging to others' reputations. Furthermore, Vlad's penchant for digging into the affairs of Black people never sat well with those who had the misfortune of watching one of his interrogation videos, sorry, interviews.
The saddest part about all of this is that black men are coming to Victim Vlad's defense in defense of Jiggin' and Booin' (shout out Vince Staples). But even these balls of dust get shot, disrespectfully.
As it stands, Vlad The Vulture is baked, simmered and sautéed and it's amazing to watch. Plus he deserves it because all he had to do was go about his business. Now, he's turned his entire brand upside down just because he couldn't stand being told that a successful black woman was out of his pocket.
