Warner Bros. Discovery admitted what we already knew: Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League failed.
It has been detected IGNWarner Bros. Discovery clarified Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and how it has missed the mark since its Feb. 2 release during an earnings call.
Per IGN:
Speaking during a financial chat, Chief Financial Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO Gunnar Wiedenfels admitted that Rocksteady's game hadn't done the job the company had hoped since it launched on February 2nd at a price of $70, saying it “didn't live up to our expectations.”
The company did not share exact sales figures for the game, but admitted that its failure made it a “difficult year” for the Warner Bros. game business. Discovery in terms of year-over-year comparisons.
While everyone in the video game industry saw the writing on the wall after that disastrous PlayStation State of Play presentation that ultimately led to the game being delayed until February 2nd, Warner Bros. Discovery hoped it could repeat its success Hogwarts Legacywhich was the best selling game of 2023.
Well, they were wrong.
Since its release, the live-service action looter shooter has peaked at 13,459 concurrent players on Steam. that number has since fallen.
In his time of IGN reporting, only 480 people were playing the game, with a 24-hour peak of 888.
Regardless of how you've felt about this game since it was first announced, this news sucks. We were trying to win this game because nobody should be out here actively hoping for a studio, especially Rocksteady Games, to drop a terrible game.
Damn, you hate to see it.
