Six years after saying goodbye, Warped Tour is returning to three US cities in 2025. The iconic punk festival will stage two-day events in Washington, D.C., Long Beach, California, and Orlando, Florida.
Specifically, Warped Tour will take place at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C, on June 14th and 15th; the Shoreline Waterfront (Marina Green Park) in Long Beach on June 26th and 27th; and Camper World Stadium Campus (Tinker Field) in Orlando on November 15th and 16th.
A pre-sale will start next Thursday (October 24th) at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT, with prices starting at $149.98 (fees included) for a two-day pass.
Founder Kevin Lyman told Rolling Stone he was motivated to re-launch Warped Tour after not seeing any other festivals top it. “Since 1997, I said I was hoping that there was some kid in a garage that was going to come out and kick Kevin Lyman’s ass someday, and put on a better festival. People start remembering once something’s gone that it was important, it was fun — and I’m hoping to recapture a lot of that again.”
While Warped Tour won’t criss-cross the States as a nationwide tour like it did for most of its initial run, Lyman isn’t ruling out adding more cities in the future. “My body won’t take riding around on a tour bus for 40 cities,” he admitted. “If it works, we’ll look to the future to do more.”
No bands have been announced as of yet, but Lyman promised that fans can expect 70-100 acts at each stop. “We’re getting very, very selective in trying to find some unique twists to the lineup,” he remarked.
Lyman insisted he doesn’t want to make Warped Tour a nostalgia fest, adding. “I’ve always felt we need to pay homage to the past, but we’re looking to the future of the artists and the community.”
Warped Tour initially ran from 1995 through 2019. Over the years, such bands as blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Sum 41, and Fall Out Boy had notable runs on the traveling festival.
Stay tuned as the lineups are announced for the three Warped Tour events happening in 2025.
