Billie Eilish was the musical guest on last night's episode The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He executed her Hit with hard and soft single “Lunch” with the help of her brother Finneas and additional musicians. Eilish also joined Colbert for a lengthy interview beforehand, in which the two discussed her new album, the cover shoot, her exposure to music as a child and more. See them all below.
Eilish also released “L'amour de Ma Vie (Over Now Extended Edit),” a new version of a song from Hit with hard and soft, for fans “to dance in the club”. It features '80s-inspired instrumentation, a faster tempo and Eilish singing through a vocoder.
Hit with hard and soft is Eilish's third album and first full-length in three years, after 2021 Happier than ever. Eilish decided to refrain from releasing any singles or doing a promotional tour prior to the album's release. So far, “Lunch” is the only song from the album to receive a music video. This fall, Eilish embarks on a massive tour in support of her new album, which takes her to North America, Europe and Australia
