The 70-year-old model was spotted in the audience at her ex-husband Billy Joel's show at Madison Square Garden on Friday (April 26), and in a TikTok fan video, Brinkley can be seen smiling and dancing along to the 1983 hit. City Girl ».

In his 2014 biography, Billy Joel: The Definitive Biography, Joel revealed that he originally wrote the classic about all the models in Manhattan, but changed the song's originally plural title to singular when he started dating Brinkley. Brinkley and Joel married in 1985 and welcomed their daughter Alexa Ray Joel that same year. They were married for almost a decade before divorcing in 1994.
Earlier this year, Joel unveiled his first single in nearly two decades, “Turn the Lights Back On,” which he performed at the 2024 Grammy Awards. “The melody, the chords, the chord progression, even the time signature it was something that struck me right away, and that's how I relate to music,” he previously stated of writing the song with Freddie Wexler. “That particular verse in that song, I had those thoughts, I could have written those lyrics verbatim. I've chewed on these words and I've thought about these words, and I've said these words over and over again. It was all sort of in place — and who am I to fight it?'
