The band is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a greatest hits tour
Not to be overcome by the announcement of No Doubt's reunion, Bush paused The Tonight Show to perform their 1994 single “Glycerine.” Frontman Gavin Rossdale appeared on the evening's show ahead of the band's upcoming greatest hits tour, performing the grungy song with a string quartet (and, surprisingly, no other musicians).
Bush will celebrate his 30th anniversary this year with a 32-date North American tour titled Loaded: The Greatest Hits tour. The trek will kick off July 26 at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, OR, and will feature special guests Alice in Chains guitarist and solo artist Jerry Cantrell and Candlebox. The tour follows its release Loaded The Greatest Hits 1994-2023which fell in November.
The rock band's latest LP, The Art of Survivalreached 2022, after their 2020 effort The kingdom. In 2021, the band were due to tour with Stone Temple Pilots, but were forced to cancel the gig due to “unfortunate and unavoidable circumstances related to Covid”. The team is back on the road in 2022.
In December, Rossdale confirmed that he has begun work on a new Bush album. During one radio appearance, the frontman said, “I really like to write. I feel like I'm actually writing better than ever. And it's a little bit like when I started in Bush and every song I wrote — I was very young and every song was a learning experience with music, on a very pure level. I always learned something by writing a song in a certain way. And I think while it's still a little mysterious to me and elusive and difficult, like the best women, I feel better than ever about what I do, and I respect the art and understand it and try to create wonderful things for people to enjoy. So I'm really excited about the next record.”
