Dua Lipa and Seth Meyers are ink buddies for life. In her recent visit to Late at nightthe 28-year-old pop star and talk-show host got matching tattoos on camera with the help of a little daredevil.
To prepare for their permanent body art, the duo first took shots of tequila on a Barbie Dreamhouse slide as two dolls looked exactly like Lipa and Meyers. The nervous ex Saturday night live The cast member then needed a few more takes before moving on to his first tattoo, for which the “Levitating” singer — who estimated he already has about 20 — suggested a tiny star.
“Oh my god, this is perfect, I'm so excited,” Lipa said shortly before a tattoo artist added a star to her inner ankle. “We will be bonded for life.”
Meyers probably wanted to pull a “Houdini” and escape when it was his turn to go under the needle, but he took it like a champ. After they finished, he and Lipa shared a big hug.
Just a few weeks ago, Myers and the English singer-songwriter went out together for a day of drinking to a place in Late at night. Lipa is currently preparing to release her third album, which she confirmed last year would be released in 2024.
And in addition to being fresh off the release of her latest single “Houdini,” she's also enjoying recognition at award shows Barbie “Dance the Night” soundtrack single. The track was up for Best Original Song, Motion Picture at Sunday's (Jan. 7) Golden Globes (the award eventually went to another Barbie track, “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish) and has been shortlisted for Best Original Song at this year's Oscars.
