Hulu has shared a trailer for its upcoming series, Camden, which reflects the 'Musical beating heart of London'. Executive produced by Dua Lipa, the four-episode series focuses on the “untold stories of how the lives and careers of some of the world's most iconic artists were influenced by this corner of the city.”
The trailer features Dua Lipa record store shopping in the neighborhood and sees Chris Martin, Noel Gallagher, Pete Doherty and Nile Rodgers describe the meaning of Camden and its role in music history. “It's that part of radical acceptance,” Dua says in the clip. “Seeing that makes you believe in yourself. This really is my home.”
The singer shared the trailer on Instagram, writing, “This is a big full circle moment for me and I'm so proud to be an executive producer and to have worked on a new original documentary series celebrating the place where it all started!!! Camden will always hold a special place in my heart and I'm humbled to share it with some of my absolute musical heroes.”
Other contributors to the documentary series include Mark Ronson, Yungblud, Black Eyed Peas, Madness, Chuck D, Boy George, Sister Bliss from Faithless, Questlove and Lauren Laverne. “You hang around and if you touch enough magic, you hope some rubs off on you,” Yungblud notes in the trailer.
Camden The series director Asif Kapadia (Amy), while the individual episodes were directed by Toby Trackman, Yemi Bamiro and Sarah Lambert. It was produced by Lightbox in association with Day One Pictures, the production company founded by Amy Winehouse's original manager Nick Shymansky, and Dua Lipa's Radical22. The series will premiere on Hulu on May 29.
