Before taking the stage at Coachella, ISOxo knocked down heaters in an underground parking lot.
In February, the rising electronic music superstar partnered with DEF, a hot promoter showcasing the sounds of alternative music in unique locations. For over 90 minutes, the EDM.com Class of 2022 star took over a parking lot in Atlanta for a riveting DJ set.
DEF is a woman-owned promoter that has made a lot of noise in the underground with its intimate and daring DIY events that feature sounds that mainstream promoters might consider too outlandish. This dedication to the experimental has earned DEF millions of works, major pop-up events at festivals and venues, and countless innovative performances.
Considering ISO has quickly become a name reserved for the country's biggest stages, their intimate DEF debut is a rarity. Attendees packed the underground stage for the performance, in which she performed fan-favorite songs like “Stinger,” “dontstopme!” and “how2fly” along with a host of unreleased ids, including a long-awaited collaboration with Skrillex.
“I have a lot of music in the works,” ISOxo told us in a late 2023 interview around the time of their big debut album. “I feel very free creatively now that the album is ready and there are a handful of collaborations that I'm looking forward to releasing.”
