In an outing that fused raw energy with artistic synergy, Knock2 joined forces with Zedd for a collaborative DJ set that lit up Echostage.
Knock2's live sets have drawn attention throughout the dance music community, as the EDM.com Class of 2023 star has put on a number of notable b2b performances as of late, each seemingly more exciting than the former. From teaming up with RL Grime at Ultra Music Festival to joining forces with Dillon Francis at Imagine Music Festival, Knock2 has demonstrated a knack for dynamic performances that seamlessly mesh with the styles of his high-profile peers.
His recent Echostage performance alongside Zedd was lit up by stadium-filling chants of the latter's “Beautiful Now,” setting a tone that would only build as the night progressed. The energy in the room increased as the music morphed into a pulsating four-on-the-floor rhythm, melodically intertwining with Knock2 and NGHTMRE's “One Chance.” Knock2's signature robust beats never failed to energize the crowd, maintaining a high-octane vibe throughout the 90-minute show.
Amid the familiar hits, the two also ventured into unexpected territories, including an exciting excursion into drum & bass with Pendulum's “Salt in the Wounds.” To add to the excitement, Knock2 previewed several unreleased tracks, including ID featuring RL Grime, indicating that their meteoric journey is far from over.
“When this all came together at first, it sounded like a crazy idea, because Rich and I don't make the same kind of music,” Zedd said into the microphone at one point. “But in the end the only thing that matters is good people, good times and good music. It doesn't matter what genre it is.”
