A pair of electronic music legends took to the Tomorrowland stage over the weekend for a rare performance that fans won't soon forget.
Attendees at the EDM festival's flagship 20th anniversary event saw Armin van Buuren invite Rob Swire, the influential vocalist and co-founder of Pendulum, on stage to perform a new song, a drum & bass version of their collaboration, “Sound of You.”
The notable cameo took place on July 19 during van Buuren's set on the main stage of Tomorrowland, which closed for the first time in 11 years. He had performed a large-room version at the Miami and European editions of Ultra Music Festival, according to DJ Magazine.

Swire's surprise appearance follows in the footsteps of Jon Bon Jovi, with whom van Buuren performed at Ultra Miami in March to debut a new remix of the rock icon's 1992 song, “Keep The Faith.”
On the musical front, van Buuren recently released “In the Dark,” a collaboration with David Guetta that became an anthem. That track, which was released in early July via his own Armada label, also appeared in his spectacular set at Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland returns for its second weekend of 2024 from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28.
