Paris Fashion Week brings out all the stars and promotes some fantastic crossovers in the process. On Monday (January 22), the Dior Haute Couture show featured a new collection from the iconic fashion house and a hilarious link-up between Rihanna and Natalie Portman.
Wearing a textured all-black outfit consisting of a puffy belted jacket, a bodycon skirt, leather gloves and a statement hat, the 'Diamonds' singer dazzled in the show's front row. While a stunning Rihanna fashion moment is always expected, watching Rihanna gush over Portman was a true Fashion Week moment.
“I'm a fan!” Ri Ri went crazy. “You are one of the hottest Hollywood hotties ever!”
The two stars ran into each other outside the show and immediately shared a tight hug, rocking back and forth as they pounced on each other. “You make the most innocent look, and I'm like, 'Ugh!'” the “Umbrella” singer said as she twirled excitedly.
Portman, who wore an oversized black blazer over a black mini dress, shared Rihanna's excitement, expressing her love for the nine-time Grammy winner and taking her compliments in disbelief. “Are you working on me? Excuse me, I'm going to pass out. I'm going to black out!” the Oscar-winning actress said in response to Rihanna's declaration of bigotry: “I love you and I listen to your music all the time and you're such a queen, thank you!”
Naturally, Rihanna asked the grandparents to take a photo of her and Portman, and the Black Swan actress ecstatically obliged. “Can someone take a picture so I remember it happened tomorrow?” quipped the pop superstar. “I don't get excited about anyone!” The two ladies then shared a final hug.
This crossover marked the beginning of a big week for Portman. The famous actress could earn her fourth career Oscar nomination for her starring role in Todd Haynes May December when the names are revealed on Tuesday. At last year's Oscars, RiRi earned a Best Original Song nomination for “Lift Me Up,” the Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 her success Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
