Usher headlines Apple Music's Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on Sunday, and in a new promo for the highly-anticipated performance titled “Where's USHER?”, the R&B superstar causes his celebrity friends to panic when he goes missing in Sin City.
In the hilarious seven-minute clip, Ludacris, Taraji P. Henson and Lil Jon try to get a hold of Usher in Las Vegas ahead of his show at Allegiant Stadium this weekend. After discovering that he has disappeared, the trio go to a choatic, The headache from drunkenness-inspired adventure around the Strip to find him, set to the tune of Usher's greatest hits. Throughout the journey, they call on stars like Anderson .Paak (aka DJ Pee Wee), J Balvin and “Leslie Snipes” (brother of bounty hunter Wesley Snipes) – before finally finding him to perform the “Burn” at Caesars Palace Fountain.
It was announced in September that Usher would headline the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show presented by Apple Music. In his new Advertising sign Cover interview, Usher said “It's more the anticipation than the nervousness” before the big game. “I'm so ready for it to happen. I just want to sing louder than I've ever sung. I'm dancing harder than I've ever danced. I want to celebrate 30 years of this career where I'm very lucky to have made songs and moments with people that will be remembered forever.”
Usher also announced that his ninth album, I'm coming home, will arrive on Super Bowl Sunday. This set marks his first new album since 2016 Hard II Lovewhich peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. He will also embark on the Usher: Past Present Future tour, which will take him across North America in late summer and into the fall.
