In the pantheon of Los Angeles Lakers legends, Valentino Khan has rewritten the soundtrack.
The renowned DJ and electronic producer recently joined forces with the team to rework the game's organ music. He then heard his work in action at the famed Crypto.com Arena, where the Lakers hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves for their home opener Tuesday night.
It was a big moment for Khan, a lifelong Los Angeles sports fan.
“I had to redesign the sound of the Lakers organ that plays at every home game,” he wrote on social media. “My goal was to restore it to that *classic* Lakers organ sound but add a modern touch. If you told me as a kid that I could do this one day, I wouldn't believe it.”
The same goes for basketball legend LeBron James and his son, Bronny, who made history as the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA. The Lakers ultimately won by a score of 110-103.
