Water from Your Eyes will release a covers EP this Friday, July 12. They have already previewed the four-song collection, titled MP3 player 1with their cover of Chumbawamba’s “The Good Ship Lifestyle.” Listen below.
Featuring driving piano and frenetic drums, the duo’s version of “The Good Ship Lifestyle” is a solid showcase of the 2023 CoSign alumni’s signature style. MP3 player 1 It will be completed with covers of beloved songs by Adele, Al Green and Third Eye Blind.

“Chumbawamba is obviously one of our favourites, but it sits somewhere between The Cure-esque Adele and Al Green as the most original covers we could have chosen,” the two comment on the project. “We think it’s fun and good, but ultimately that’s for the listeners to decide for themselves.”
Water from Your Eyes is no stranger to reflective covers. In January, they covered Ween’s “If You Could Save Yourself (You'd Save Us All)” for Sounds of Saving’s “Songs That Found Me at The Right Time” series.
