Waxahatchee stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night for a performance of her new song “Right Back To It” with MJ Lenderman.
Named Song of the Week when it debuted earlier this year, “Right Back To It” served as the lead single to Waxahatchee’s new album, Tigers Blood, which debuted last Friday. In a review for Consequence, Jonah Krueger called Tigers Blood “remarkable” and “immaculate,” celebrating it for offering “more than enough new ideas to warrant its existence, all while maintaining the core” of Waxahatchee’s signature artistry.
Tigers Blood is Waxahatchee’s sixth studio album and arrived via ANTI-. After sharing the lead single “Right Back To It” in January, additional singles “Bored” and “365” arrived in the weeks ahead of the album’s debut. Physical editions of Tigers Blood — including signed and limited edition vinyl copies — are on sale now.
Beginning next month, Waxahatchee will support Tigers Blood by embarking a sprawling North American tour. Tickets are available here.
