After kicking off their 40th anniversary tour with shows in Bonner, Montana, and Spokane, Washington last week, Ween is canceling its final three dates in Seattle, Portland and Eugene.
“We regret to announce that we will have to cancel our shows this week in Seattle, Portland, and Eugene,” read a statement from the band posted on social media. “We love playing for the best fans in the world and are beyond disappointed to not be able to do these shows. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Thank you as always for the love and support.”
Although the Pacific Northwest tour was intended to be brief, it was also supposed to be a celebration of Ween's 40th anniversary. It's not known if they will still play their hometown show at Philadelphia's Mann Music Center to celebrate their 1994 album. Chocolate and cheeseWeen was also supposed to embark on a spring tour, but canceled it earlier this year so founding member Mickey Melchiondo (aka Deen Ween) could focus on his “mental and spiritual well-being.”
Meanwhile, Ween also kicked off August with the release of a deluxe edition of Chocolate and cheeseComplete with 15 previously unreleased bonus tracks, outtakes and demos. Get your hands on a copy of the special edition vinyl here.
