Buffalo, New York emcee, songwriter, entrepreneur and Westside curator Gunn reboots the Hitler wears Mercury series with his 6th EP. Proving his status as a legend and that he'll be a force to be reckoned with in nearly a decade, whether it's running one of the hottest hip-hop labels in recent memory on his first 2 full-lengths FLYGOD & Supreme Blientele. Last we heard from West it was And then you pray for me which as a trap-heavy sequel to Pray for Parisbut it falls Hitler 11 on Halloween & on 24 hours notice I'm still praying.
After the introduction of “Stone”, the first song “Big Dump Ballad” is a delicious opener produced by Denny LaFlare who talks about being the King of New York, while “Unkle Howdy” is named after the former NXT Champion, WWE World Tag Team Champion, and now The Wyatt Sick6's leader, Bo Dallas, works on a rich piano and ponders Madonna's tongue-in-cheek, since dope is so good. “Cain Tejada” goes the boom-bap route by likening himself to a monster, and “Paulin Paulin Paulin” brings the spark of soul by going 1-for-3 through pot luck.
Hitler wears Hermes X was a great place to end the saga since it was released around the same time frame as Kanye West's infamous anti-Semitic meltdown, but we still had an enjoyable 15 minutes of listening to Hitler wears Mercury XI. Denny LaFlare will shine more behind the boards as he's the most underrated member of The Heartbreakers & the FLYGOD asks to let Sly Green return with no guests.
