Watch Latin American Music Awards
With April coming to an end, music is still in full swing with a bunch of new releases.
It’s a big day for hip-hop and R&B, as Normani teamed up with Gunna for the sultry “1:59,” which is set to be featured on the former Fifth Harmony singer’s long-awaited solo album, Dopamine, out June 14. “I know what it’s like to put out music and records that I don’t wholeheartedly believe in. When we were in [Fifth Harmony], we didn’t have the opportunity to have a real opinion until the last project we did,” the singer tells ELLE in a new cover story. “I promised myself, ‘If God gives me another opportunity to do things in my own way, I’m not going to take that for granted.’”
Meanwhile, PARTYNEXTDOOR unleashed his fourth studio album, PartyNextDoor4 (P4). As he told Billboard in his cover story earlier this year: “This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. This is the proudest I’ve felt…I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.”
Over in Latin, Anitta dropped Funk Generation, featuring previously released singles “Funk Rave” and “Joga Pra Lua” as well as the new Sam Smith collab, “Ahi.”
