In a career-defining move, Will Clarke has revealed his debut album, Midnight masswhich will premiere in the fall of 2024.
Clarke will release a 13-track project that traverses the intersection of house and techno. On it, she will work alongside a group of talented collaborators, including HAYLA, Blythe and Sharlene Hector. The album is said to be a testament to her evolving talent, showcasing an increased focus on deep vocal energy and meticulous songwriting.
Thematically, Midnight mass fuses Clarke’s signature club-ready production with rich, soulful melodies, offering fans a deeper emotional connection while still delivering the high-octane beat they’re accustomed to.
Along with the album, he will debut a “groundbreaking” live show concept in six major North American cities, beginning in Los Angeles on Nov. 22, according to a press release issued by Armada. The live production, which will offer a cinematic experience that goes beyond a typical DJ set, will complement the collaborative spirit and unifying force of the album itself.
“I take my hat off to the sound that has defined me thus far, but this collection of songs goes beyond just being suitable for a DJ set,” Clarke said. “I wanted each track to have a strong vocal presence and to work both in a club environment and for casual listening. Collaborating with incredibly talented artists, who became close friends during the process, was the most important part of creating this album. I hope that sense of collaboration comes through in the music.”
Midnight mass It is scheduled for release on November 8th. You can pre-order the album here. here.
