Both collections include music created by the great Hans Zimmer for Denis Villeneuve's film adaptations; while the WIPO features the 75-minute Academy Award-winning score on 22 tracks, The Dunes Sketchbook Expand those cues for a stunning 100-minute ride through an alien landscape of just nine tracks. With a mix of electronic elements, orchestration, original Cubase instruments and female voices singing in a language created by Zimmer himself, the complementary soundtracks bring the otherworldly sounds of Dune home.
And as always, Mondo's edits are as beautiful as the music itself. Printed on vinyl in the color “Sands of Arrakis”, the main Dune The soundtrack is presented in a gorgeous gatefold cover with original artwork by Greg Ruth. A romantic scene of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) graces the front, with the towering Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård) standing over the fallen Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac) on the inside crease. The individual album covers feature black and white portraits of Chani and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson).
The Dunes Sketchbook, meanwhile, features three slabs of black vinyl in a triple sleeve with a colossal sandworm towering over Paul on the cover. The stunning interior artwork features artistic interpretations by Paul, Chani and Vladimir.
