Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, the titular character. Ben Kingsley also stars as Trevor Slattery, reprising his role from Iron Man 3. Director Destin Daniel Cretin — director of Marvel's 2021 film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings — created the show, developing it alongside head writer Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community), as part of a deal Cretin has with Marvel Studios and Onyx Collective.
The series, which currently has no release date, is slated to debut on Disney+. Marvel Comics' A miracle man The comic series follows Williams, the son of a wealthy industrialist, as his company goes out of business while competing with Stark Industries. Williams turns to the villainous Baron Zemo, who gives him superpowers, including superhuman strength. He starts out as an adversary of the Avengers, but eventually, as Wonder Man, he joins their team and is a founding member of the spin-off team, The West Coast Avengers. It is unclear if the TV series will follow the same story.
