Wrangler is teaming up with country singer-songwriter Cody Johnson to introduce a new collection of cowboy-inspired dress shirts that dropped on Thursday (August 29).
“A true work of the heart,” reads a post on Wrangler's Instagram account that Johnson reposted on his account. “Introducing the Wrangler x Cody Johnson Collection. A collection that takes center stage while offering style, comfort and fit. Each track designed in collaboration with Cody- draws on his experience as a cowboy and one of the biggest country music stars of his generation. Long live the Cowboys!”
The Wrangler x Cody Johnson Collection shirts retail for $59.99 and are available in plaid, paisley and diamonds. The single-pocket, button-down shirts are available in various shades of blue and two burgundy colors in sizes ranging from S to 2XT.
Johnson, a longtime Wrangler fan, personally selected the fabrics, patterns and details featured in the collection, which is designed to be worn anywhere from the farmhouse to the stage and beyond.
“I have spent a lot of time on this collection. This is a shirt I designed just for you,” the Grammy winner shared in a statement on the Wrangler website.
Johnson is the latest country singer to collaborate with the Wranglers, joining fellow country stars Laney Wilson and George Strait. Speaking of Wilson, Johnson teased a possible collaboration with the “Heart Like a Truck” singer during a recent interview.
“I'm going duck hunting with her friend Duck [Devlin “Duck” Hodges]. I guess that's how he got his name, because he's really into hunting,” he explained. “I heard 'Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man' by Loretta Lynn. I took Laney and said let's record this song together, and she agreed. But we haven't done that yet.”
As for his solo music, the country singer is currently embarking on The Leather tour in support of 2023 self-titled album. The tour stops in South Dakota on September 6th, Oklahoma on September 13th, Montana on September 14th and Louisiana on September 14th. Get tickets here.
