On Monday (June 10), it was announced that the Yung N Lit Music Fest will take place at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. The concert will feature some of Hip-Hop's young and talented artists, with Cash Cobain and Bay Swag headlining the lineup. Other artists on the bill include Bobby Shmurda, Rubi Rose, Asian Doll, Connie Diamonds, Girl Codee, 5ive Micks and Diamond The Artist.
Veteran performer DJ Self (who has his show on Power 105.1) and DJ Smooth (known for his appearances on the Rock The Bells network) will be on the turntables as hosts for the evening. The concert event is organized by Empowerment Music Group (a division of AEMG) and will take place on Thursday (June 13). Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. According to the press release, the group's goal with the concert is to shine a light on the culture's newest and most dynamic artists out there today.
Yung N Lit Music Fest is the latest event at the Apollo, which is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary. The concert also marks another stepping stone for some of the acts in the line-up. Bobby Shmurda has been performing steadily since his release from prison in 2021 and is working on new music after his release request was approved by Epic Records in March 2022. Cash Cobain has been on the rise over the past year as a producer and artist, with separate single with A Boogie With Da Hoodie under his belt. As for Rubi Rose, it's her first performance since releasing a music video for her latest single 'Deserve To Die'.
