Zach Bryan is set to release his upcoming studio album, The Great American Bar Scene, on July 4 via Warner Records. The 18-track project will include 17 songs and a poem, highlighted by the preview releases of “Pink Skies” and “Purple Gas.”
On the album title, Bryan also revealed his plan to have nearly two dozen bars in the United States and Canada preview tracks from The Great American Bar Scene early, with those bars receiving the music on June 24, 10 days before the album's release.
“My intention with all of this is to give everyone an early taste of this album, but more importantly, this is in the spirit of bringing people together for an unforgettable moment,” Bryan said on Instagram. “I've selected 23 bars across the country that embody the spirit of American culture. These bars will be playing selected tracks from “The Great American Bar Scene” starting June 24th. As much as I would kill to play all those timeless bars, it won't be possible. I will visit a few off the list to have a drink with you. “The Great American Bar Scene” will be released on July 4th. Love from the road, ZB.”
A double vinyl version The Great American Bar Scene is also scheduled to be released on October 10. In addition to preparing new music, Bryan has fronted the Quittin' Time tour, which welcomes a host of headliners including Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours and The War & Treaty.
The album will be released as Bryan still has several entries on the Billboard 200 chart, including two projects in the chart's top 20: 2023's self-titled album at No. 12 and 2022's American Heart Break is at No. 15. Lower on the Billboard 200 are his previous works, 2020s Elizabethof 2022 Summertime Blues and 2023 Boys of faith.
