The country star is once again paying tribute to her “Boys of Faith” collaborator on social media
Zach Bryan has once again paid tribute to one of his favorite artists (and recent collaborators), Bon Iver, by posting a cover of “For Emma” on social media.
Hours after releasing the Matthew McConaughey-starring video for new song “Nine Ball,” Bryan uploaded his stripped-down performance of the 2007 track for no other reason than he's a huge Bon Iver fan.
Going back to at least 2016, Bryan has regularly praised the artist born Justin Vernon, with the Grammy-winning country singer first releasing an acoustic rendition of “Skinny Love.”
The following year, the not-yet-famous Bryan tweeted his love for Bon Iver twice, noting: that “Heavenly Father by Bon Iver has got to be one of the most beautiful songs ever” and afterward “The guitar at the beginning of Towers by Bon Iver is simple and perfect, and I'd like to finish it.”
After more than half a decade of singing his praises, Bryan finally teamed up with Bon Iver in September 2023 for “Boys of Faith,” the title track of Bryan's then-new EP.
