Multi-award-winning Scottish comedy star Mark Nelson brings his acclaimed show to Belfast as part of his first national tour.
Mark Nelson will be performing his acclaimed show at The Limelight, Belfast on Friday 2 February 2024. Since winning the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year award in 2006, just a year after his first open announcement, Mark Nelson's mix of Cutting observations, social commentary and superb one-liners have firmly established him as one of Scotland's best-loved comedians.
Now the multi-award winner, whose work has previously appeared on Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, embarks on his first nationwide tour. Audiences from Oban to Dublin will have the chance to enjoy the best of Nelson, who, along with his critically acclaimed live work, is known for creating the BBC's biggest online hit, News At 3, which currently has more than 250 million visits worldwide.
Mark Nelson's awards include the Daily Telegraph Critics' Fringe Award, Scottish Comedy Award for Best Lead 5 times, Arts Award Voice Best Fringe Show and British Comedian of the Year 2021. He has presented thirteen seasons of The Good , BBC Radio Scotland's The Bad. And The Unexpected and appeared on BBC Radio's News Quiz and Breaking the News. On television, Nelson presents BBC Scotland's Edinburgh Unlocked (returning this year for its third series) and Bad Influencer, as well as appearances on
The Comedy Marathon and BBC's Comedy Underground.
