The indie legend talks about why he wanted his new album to sound like a desert record, featuring Fairport Convention's Dave Mattacks on it and suffering a breakup during the recording process. Along with the tragic loss of her parents, her experiences understandably led her to explore themes of loneliness and escape throughout the new songs.

On the other hand, Timony shares his feelings about reaching the top 100 in Rolling StoneThe list of the best guitarists of all time.: “It means a lot to me, but of course I have to be a little suspicious, because they're just trying to be more PC here,” she laughs. “But I also appreciate it a lot. I'm glad that the people who made the list this year value things besides technique, ostentation and show off.”
