Add Dolly Parton to the list of millions who want to hear Beyoncé Act of Rebirth II.
The country legend and Rock Hall inductee is, it turns out, a fully paid-up member of the BeyHive and excited about Beyonce's recent record-breaking exploits.
This week, Beyonce debuted on Billboard's Hot Country Songs streaming, airplay and sales chart (dated Feb. 24) with her first two entries on the survey: “Texas Hold'Em” at No. 1 and ” 16 Carts' at No. 9.
With “Texas Hold 'Em,” she becomes the first black woman, or woman known to be biracial, to reach the top of Hot Country Songs.
The records don't end there. Beyoncé makes history as the first woman to top both Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs since the charts began as an all-genre song chart in October 1958.
None of this has eluded Dolly. “I'm a huge fan of Beyonce and I'm so excited she made a country album,” Parton wrote on social media. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. I can't wait to hear the whole album!”
This album is Act of Rebirth IIis expected to be released on March 29.
Once it arrives, Act II will mark Bey's eighth album. It will also be vying to become her eighth consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, as all seven of her previous LPs debuted at the top of the chart — dating back to 2003 Dangerously in love to Renaissanceher most recent effort from 2022.
As previously reported, “Texas Hold 'Em” and “16 Carriages” debut at Nos. 2 and 38, respectively, on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, “Texas Hold'Em” is expected to lead the Official U.K. Singles Chart, having topped the midweek survey. If “Texas Hold 'Em” plays its cards right when the national chart is released late on Friday (February 23), Bey will have a sixth solo UK No.1 single.
Both tracks were released on February 11, as announced in a Verizon commercial that aired during CBS' Super Bowl LVIII telecast, ahead of the new album's release.
