Valentino Khan dives into unknown territory with his new techno style PE, POWERLINE.
While it may be a starting point, it manages to embody the soul of the underground, capturing the essence of the high-octane warehouse feel and showing how versatile his production skills are.
Khan has enlisted Pauline Herr, Sarah De Warren, Uffie and Bipolar Sunshine to lend their talents. POWERLINE. Herr's angelic vocals are masterfully incorporated into “Surrender,” adding a haunting layer to the track before his pulsing beat takes over. Uffie, on the other hand, imbues an uplifting atmosphere before being brought back to earth by a loud Khan fall.
“Television” and “Pure Energy” are the only solo songs on the EP. The former is much more minimalist, while the main focus of the latter is its frenetic synths, driving the energy higher and higher as it continues to build up throughout the entire track.
