The surviving members of The Who don't really care if you want to see The Who in concert. They've already ruled out the United States due to rising touring expenses. Now, in an interview with The New York TimesGuitarist Pete Townshend advised fans who want to see The Who perform live to wait until the inevitable hologram concert in a few years.
“The who is not [Roger] Daltrey and Townshend on stage at 80 years old, posing as young people. “It’s the four of us in 1964, when we were 18 or 19,” Townshend explained. “If you want to see the myth of The Who, wait for the avatar show. It would be good!”

Daltrey and Townshend do not rule out more performances like The Who; in fact, last week they took the stage for a couple of concerts as part of Daltrey's Teenage Cancer Trust concerts. However, there is nothing else on the books at the moment.
Instead, Daltrey will embark on a solo tour of North America beginning in June, while Townshend promotes the return of the Broadway revival of The Who's. tommywhich officially opens at the Nederlander Theater on March 28.
