Diddy is speaking out after Homeland Security raided his Los Angeles and Miami homes. Here's what he had to say.
On Monday afternoon, Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security. HSI released the following statement: “Earlier today New York City Homeland Security Investigations conducted enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation. With the help of HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and local law enforcement partners. We will provide more information as it becomes available.”
Diddy's lawyer, Aaron Dyer, has now given Advertising sign the following statement: “Yesterday, there was a gross abuse of force at the military level as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs' residences. There is no excuse for the excessive display of force and hostility displayed by the authorities or the way the children and his staff were treated. Mr. Combs was never taken into custody, but he spoke and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested or restricted in their ability to travel in any way. This unprecedented ambush — combined with an advanced, coordinated media presence — is leading to a premature rush to judgment for Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on false accusations leveled in civil lawsuits. No criminal or civil liability has been established with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every day to clear his name.”
As for Diddy's businesses, of which he has many, the rapper has reportedly sold the remainder of his stake in Revolt TV, which he created in 2013. For the latest on this story, head over to Billboard.com.
