Upon its release, “Texas” made history as the first song by a black woman to chart on the Hot Country Songs chart. Beyoncé spent 46 cumulative weeks atop the Hot 100, the third-most by a woman behind Mariah Carey (93 weeks ) and Rihanna (60 weeks).
