Boys Noize and Rico Nasty have joined forces to launch HARDC0RE DR3AMZa new three-track EP.
The beginning of the album is “Arintintin”, a hyperactive dance track with a punk touch. Next up is “Vvgina,” a techno-inspired track with cathartic lyrics that explore heartbreak and finding release from past relationships.
Rounding out the EP is “HOT,” an unapologetic crossover of breakbeat and hip-hop highlighted by Rico Nasty’s ferocious vocals. Accompanying the single is a nostalgic music video that features camcorder footage and lots of 2000s fashion, like parachute pants. Look the following video.
Rico Nasty says he connected with Boys Noize, one of the electronic music industry's most influential producers, six years ago. They met in the studio and eventually performed together at the 2024 FriendShip festival.
“Fast forward again, maybe 3 or 4 years, and we did a couple more sessions. We still gravitated toward techno dance music,” Nasty said in a statement shared with EDM.com. “He started playing me German dance music and we swapped a bunch of songs. Little by little, over a few days, we ended up making three more songs that we really loved and decided we wanted to share with the world. Every session was a lot of fun and I'm sure that the energy is felt in all of these tracks. One of my favorite songs on the project is… all of them. That's why it's so low!”
