If social media has taught us anything over the past decade and more, it's that there are plenty of creeps and weirdos out there on all sides. A woman on X had to protect her account after she essentially signed off on sexual assault and homophobia in a two-to-one tweet urging others to call her She Diddy.
She Diddy started trending early Thursday (April 4) morning after X user @themdolll tweeted some thoughts that somehow connected to some other recent events involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The tweet, screen-grabbed by user X @ScamFisher, reads:
Once i get to that dic and shake my hand you can get tf on gay ass ngga
User X @FirstName_Alan quoted @themdolll's tweet, writing in quotes, “It's called She Diddy consent,” and all hell broke loose from there.
Since that exchange, She Diddy has gone viral, seeing Combs' moniker redefined once again in an unfortunate way. Lately, the phrase “No Diddy” has been popping up, which seemingly has a homophobic bent, though it doesn't seem to be dominating conversations lately.
As it stands, fans and viewers are more aware than ever of the specter of sexual assault in the wake of Diddy's recent legal issues. Plus, it's revealed that some people have some silly views about consent, assault, sexuality, and behavior. Adding to that, Diddy has his share of defenders along with those who wish to see him fall in light of the mounting accusations he faces.
Perhaps not wanting that image on her jacket, @themdolll has since made her X page private, so we don't know if there were any other statements or responses to her earlier joke.
