Jelly Roll has revealed why his private jet had to make an emergency landing.
The country singer and rapper revealed what happened during the hair-raising mid-air moment.
His private plane had been forced into an emergency landing a few days before flying to the Country Music Awards in Austin, Texas.
“What happened was the screen cut out,” Jelly Roll told E! News on the red carpet for the awards.
“The pilot was like, ‘I’m not even risking this.’ He had to manually fly the plane back. He had to fly like it was the 1960s again. He was shooken.”
The 39-year-old praised the pilot for getting them back on land safely.
“It was incredible,” he said. “We’re blessed.”
The Son of a Sinner singer’s wife Bunnie XO had taken to her TikTok account to share the frightening incident shortly after they returned to ground level.
“When the private jet you’re in just stopped mid-air, turned around & said we had to emergency land because of a malfunction,” she wrote, alongside a video of the two of them and their entourage looking terrified, aboard the grounded aircraft.
“At least it wasn’t the brakes!” Jelly Roll joked in the video.
