Let's start 50 years ago, going back to 1974, when Elton John released his smash hit “Benny and the Jets,” which hit No. 1 on April 13, 1974. At the time, it was his second No. 1 after “Crocodile Rock.” “.
Then we fast forward 25 years to April 10, 1999. TLC had their third Hot 100 number one here with “No Scrubs.” He stayed there for four weeks.
And finally, Lady Gaga in 2009. Her second number one hit on the Hot 100 was “Poker Face.” It reached the top on April 11, 2009, just a few months after her first Hot 100 hit, “Just Dance.”
