DJ Snake threw a curveball at this year's Coachella, striking a chord with festival-goers by featuring hip-hop icon 50 Cent in a groundbreaking set that married electronic dance music with old-fashioned hip-hop school.
Euphoria gripped the crowd when 50 Cent performed 2003's “In Da Club,” a track that has become synonymous with hip-hop excellence during his 20-year reign. The energy increased as they continued with “PIMP,” turning the festival atmosphere in the Sahara tent into a block party of epic proportions.
Elsewhere on the festival grounds, Snake appeared to surprise fans with a dedicated hip-hop set on the Do LaB stage. He certainly made the most of his two weekends at the Indio-based festival, as his energetic Weekend 2 set followed a star-studded outing the weekend before, in which the “Turn Down For What” producer brought special guests at Featherweight. Robin S. and Kodak Black on stage.
