Police and paramedics were called to the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Wednesday night in response to an alleged altercation between Britney Spears and her boyfriend Paul Soliz, according to TMZ.
Earlier that night, a woman matching Spears' description allegedly harassed and threatened hotel employees and guests, prompting an initial visit from police around 10:30 p.m. local time. However, the agents left the scene when they found no signs of trouble.
Officers returned two hours later, this time with paramedics in tow, following reports of a disturbance in Spears' hotel suite. TMZ reports that there was a physical altercation that may have left Spears with a leg injury and she was screaming in the hallway of her suite. Paramedics reportedly made contact with the singer, but she eventually left the hotel with her security.
Before TMZ broke the story, Spears posted a cryptic message on Instagram (which has since been deleted) that read: “Most of the photos are doubles and I think most of them know it!!! I would like people to be respected at this time so that they understand that I am stronger every day! The truth sucks, can someone teach me how to lie???
Spears added: 'Goddesses, I am reaching for my higher power and furthermore, I hope you are too!!! I need a new toothbrush right now!!! PS… I need an espresso. !!! PS: I'm not sure why I feel the need to share this…I guess I'm just a girl and I'm on my period so I'm a bitch…shit!!!”
