This week, of Billboard New Music Latin summary and playlist — curated Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new albums from artists like Danny Ocean, Kany García, Eladio Carrion and Fonseca, to name a few.
Dubbing 'future pop', Danny Ocean presents his third studio album, Reflexa. Navigating grief, lust, love and the desire to live authentically, the 12-track set is perhaps Danny's most personal album to date, but it's also his most sonically experimental — in which he combines his signature pop sound of electro and Middle Eastern influences.
On “García,” the title track of Kany García's new album, the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter writes a letter to herself, addressed to the young, vulnerable Kany and today's equally vulnerable star (“Tengo miedo de meterme en esta ola de ficción/I am afraid of losing myself in this wave of fiction”).
Other new releases include Piso 21 and “La Misión” by Wisin. “Tú o Yo” by Silvestre Dangond and Carlos Vives and many more.
Last week, music fans voted Belinda and Natanael Cano's new single '300 Noches' as their favorite music release of the week. Further back was Anitta's new album, Funk Generation, which garnered 41% of the vote. Beli and Cano's heartbreaking track — produced by Marcelo Rivera Levy, Mr. Naisgai and Ángel Sandoval — beat out other new releases like Yuridia and Los Ángeles Azules' “Felicítalo.” Rels B and Junior H's “Un Desperdicio”? Bruses and Humbe's “Bestia”; “Akureyri” by Aitana and Sebastián Yatra. Danny Ocean's “Ley Universal” and Marc Anthony's new album, Muevense.
